Volunteering at HatchSpace is an opportunity to support our shops, deepen your skills and give back to our community.

HatchSpace volunteers are vital to cultivating and sustaining a welcoming, accessible and well-maintained environment where people can get to work.

“Shop Stewards” are the backbone of our volunteer program at HatchSpace. Stewards spend three hours each week answering general questions from members, helping to tidy up our shops, and chop kindling for our community.

We make an effort to reward our volunteers through recognition, additional training, and after-hours access to our shops. Big thanks to our wonderful Shop Stewards team!

Interested in volunteering?

Please reach out, we’d love to hear from you. In addition to Shop Stewards, we always have room for professional mentors who are able to assist members with advanced woodworking tools and processes.

“There is a wealth of free knowledge available to anyone who wishes to learn more about creating.”
