Covid at HatchSpace

On March 2, 2022 Brattleboro ended its indoor mask mandate. Brattleboro Selectboard members had earlier said the mandate followed a Centers for Disease Control recommendation when Covid-19 case rates were higher. Now that case numbers have fallen, the select board members Tuesday night made the decision to end the indoor mask ordinance immediately.

Following this decision, HatchSpace will adopt the following policy for the public, its members, and staff effective March 3, 2022:

  1. Mask-wearing is voluntary; we continue to encourage mask wearing for general health benefits.
  2. All visitors and users of HatchSpace must be fully vaccinated; anyone using the space should be prepared to show proof of vaccination if asked by a volunteer or member of staff.
  3. HatchSpace continues to recommend social distancing and that visitors and users exercise sanitary precautions.
  4. HatchSpace will continue to limit occupancy of our spaces, including classes, for the time being. That capacity remains at the discretion of our instructors.
