Previous woodworking experience required.
In this class students will custom design and build a wall-hung cabinet out of solid wood. Appropriate joinery and frame and panel construction techniques will be explored. Hinge placement and mortising techniques will also be discussed.
Please note: This is an Intermediate class. Participants must have previous experience with fundamental/introductory woodworking classes and have a thorough knowledge of milling and dimensioning wood from rough lumber. *Cost of materials not included.

Instructor: Martin Simpson
Martin is the owner of Martin Simpson Design a design/build studio for custom cabinetry, architectural, millwork, and furniture. He also does installation and fine carpentry for residential, commercial, and museum clients. He does historical renovation and reconstruction along with providing design and drafting services. He has furniture shown in galleries and museums nationwide along with a bench in the permanent collection of the Museum of Fine Art, Boston, Massachusetts.

Payment is due at the time of registration. Unpaid registrations are subject to cancellation.
Full refunds or a class credit can be provided if you cancel at least 7 days before the start of the class by contacting info@hatchspace.org or by calling 802-257-3935.
There are no refunds, transfers, make-ups or deferments for missed classes.
HatchSpace reserves the right to cancel any class for any reason. A class may be canceled in the event the minimum number of students for the class is not reached. In this case, registrants will receive a full refund or class credit, and notified by valid email provided at registration.
