HatchSpace to Offer Six Weeks of Summer Camps for Area Youth

Students enrolled in 2025 summer camps enjoy learning the basics of woodworking.

June 4, 2026 - This July and August, HatchSpace is expanding summer camp offerings for area youth who like to make things, launching two new camp experiences for a total of six weeks of summer youth programs. New programs include the week long Robots and Lasers camp which will introduce digital fabrication skills to rising seventh, eighth and ninth graders and leverage HatchSpace’s laser cutters and CNC machines, as well as Carpentry Boot Camp, which offers rising sophomores through recent high school graduates a two week beginner friendly intensive to hone their interest in design and build skills. They’ll construct a unique chicken coop with student-designed customizations while gaining real workshop skills that are transferable to carpentry and/or architecture and design fields.

HatchSpace will continue to offer our mainstay summer camps of two weeks of Rosie’s Girls, a Trades and STEM exploration camp for middle school girls and gender expansive youth that is offered with partnering organization, Vermont Works for Women, as well as two weeks of Build Your Own Skateboard Camp, a unique hands-on design and build morning camp followed by an afternoon of real skating which is offered in partnership with the Boys & Girls Club of Brattleboro.  Both camps have been offered at HatchSpace for four years.

As of time of writing, Rosie’s Girls, Build Your Own Skateboard, and Robots & Lasers are sold out, but interested students may join the waitlist. HatchSpace is still accepting registrations for Carpentry Boot Camp, and generous scholarships are available.
