HatchSpace Partners with BDCC to Offer New Trades Training Program
Brattleboro, VT - Brattleboro Development Credit Corporation (BDCC) and HatchSpace are partnering to offer a seven week training program designed to help adults explore careers in the construction and building trades.
This hands-on class will introduce adults to foundational construction skills and provide practical career guidance and skills to support next steps in training or employment. Class will meet twice weekly from March 3rd to April 16th. Tuesday sessions will take place at HatchSpace and focus on introductory carpentry and construction skills such as how to use hand and power tools, construction math, and core safety practices. Thursday sessions will take place at the BDCC Workforce Center of Excellence and will focus on career pathways, employer expectations, resumes and interviews, credentials and certifications, as well as funds available for future training.
All tools and materials will be provided. The class is designed for adults who want to explore construction for the first time or who are considering a career transition into the building trades.
